Rosemary & Thyme

A friend saw my blog and sent me an e-card with this picture of Laura and Rosemary. I thought I would share it.

Death by Chocolate

I just finished "Death by Chocolate". It was a fast read and had some interesting characters. Savannah is the heroine (all her brothers and sisters are named after towns). Savannah had been in the police department and now has her own detective agency. She comes from a large family and this allows for all the family issues that being a member of a large family involves, especially since she is an older sister. I enjoyed this book and will probably read other books by this author.

Books this Month

I just checked my next ten books out of the library (all mysteries) and have started reading "Death by Chocolate" by G.A. McKevett. Love the fact that the heroine is a slightly overweight, 40 something woman who still isn't afraid of chocolates. She is active enough to stop the bad guy in a bank robbery and enjoy a relaxing bubble bath with chocolate to ease the day's stress. I'll let you know if it lives up to its potential.

Speaking of "cozies" a friend of mine has just published her first book in a series of Senior Center Murders. You can check out her thoughts on ambiguous antecedents which are a real bugaboo with her.
It's been a fun ride working with her, reading her first drafts, and attending her first book signing and seeing her get her first check.

The Cozy

I especially like the "cozy" when it comes to mysteries written or on TV. But enjoy almost all mysteries as long as there is not too much torture.

Currently I am enjoying the Rosemary and Thyme series on PBS. Always death, always gardens and always fun.
