The Cozy

I especially like the "cozy" when it comes to mysteries written or on TV. But enjoy almost all mysteries as long as there is not too much torture.

Currently I am enjoying the Rosemary and Thyme series on PBS. Always death, always gardens and always fun.

Ahem, the name of the book is PARK RIDGE: A Senior Center Murder. It's available at BookLocker.com and Amazon, Borders, Barnes and Noble. But at BookLocker you can read about the banana murder!

Why don't you tell them how much the walk-through for that was?

For more on Rosemary and Thyme.

I think you'll disagree with the comment "The series' biggest flaw, however, is its overall geriatric feel. Rosemary & Thyme's two stars could present viewers with portraits of vibrant, middle-age women. Instead, the show feels downright elderly and out of touch. Geraldine McEwan's Miss Marple is decades older than Rosemary and Laura, but Marple is infused with spry, youthful energy. As a series, Rosemary & Thyme has a dowdiness that even a dishy babe like Kendal cannot overcome."

I find Rosemary and Laura realistic for their age, hardly elderly as compared to Miss Marple. Don't get me wrong, I love Miss Marple who solves crimes through observation and gossip. But Rosemary and Laura are always climbing into windows, searching apartments and just generally being where they ought not to be. And there are always signs of romance so they're not dead yet.
